Reading time...
As I was cleaning up dinner in the kitchen , I noticed it had been eerily quiet in the family room. So I decided to take a peek. Here is what I saw...Graham taking the time to really sit and read his books so nicely! The cutest part that you don't hear/see in the pictures is he was saying the words of the pictures he recognized. By the way, this fish shirt he is wearing is his absolute favorite. He points out his fish the whole day when he wears it!

Just cute:)
If you came to my baby shower, you may recognize this stool. At my shower everyone helped decorate it with cute thumbprint animals, and we left a space in the middle for baby's name once determined. Anyway, I now keep the stool in the downstairs powder room for Graham to stand on to wash his hands (though he is still a little short to really reach well). His new fascination seems to be with "sitting". He will just drop down and sit and look at me and say, "Mama sit!" I think this is because we are working on introducing Time Out on the steps..where he has to go and "sit" for 30 seconds. So all morning he kept getting out this stool and putting it where I could see, and then saying"sit" would back his booty up and proceed to take a seat. He was quite proud of himself. As for the Time Out, he is understanding the sitting aspect of it, but not really that it is not supposed to be a fun thing!

Heavy hearts today.........
Our hearts are breaking for our dear friends, Keith and Hillary today. Yesterday afternoon their sweet little baby Zane, who was almost 6 months old, lost her battle with SMA. I know many of you have been following Zane and her parents difficult journey through my blog, and I know they appreciate all of your kind words and thoughts at such a difficult time. Baby Zane and her twin Avery came into this world exactly one year after Graham - same birthday - so of course they are extra special to us. Keith and Hillary have requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to help future SMA families via http://www.fsma.org. So if this news tugs at your heart the way it does ours, please consider making a donation in Zane's memory. Thank you so much.

Bunny Park (aka ultimate way to tire out your kids!)
We spent the morning at the bunny splash park having lots of fun, as you can see. Graham was so excited to splash around and pretty much didn't stop until his lips were so blue, we had to take a time out. Uncle Nick, Yaya, and Papa were with us. We all got a little wet, but had so much fun! As you can imagine, he took a fantastic 3 hour plus nap this afternoon, which is why I was able to get the pictures up so soon!

Touch A Truck-take 2!

How fun are all these pictures? We went to another Touch A Truck event, this one was a bit smaller and less overwhelming for Graham. We went with Jennifer and Andrew. I can't take credit for the photos, Jennifer took them, and aren't they so cute? For the most part the boys were willing models in all the different trucks. Graham didn't want to get out of the scooper part of the bulldozer, he liked that one the best! He got a special treat, and the school bus arrived as we were there, so that really thrilled him. The school bus was from my old district so that was a fun picture to take! We are looking forward to a fun filled weekend...more to come later!

The Little Gym
Graham has gone to classes at The Little Gym since he was 5 months old. We were sad to learn that the owners of The Little Gym will be closing it after next week. Another victim of the wonderful economy. Graham is truly going to miss it, as will I. One of his favorite things to do is to hang from the rings, and play with the balls. Not to mention get great big hugs from his best buddy, Lilli.

Playdate
One of my good friends brought her little boy Andrew over to play today. Andrew is about two months older than Graham (and a lot taller!) Andrew loved Graham's sand and water table. Actually, he loved the sand side. It worked out well because Graham loves the water side. The boys played well together, and enjoyed having dinner together. They had a little snack at Graham's table while I got their dinner ready. Thanks for visiting, it was fun!

Their first meeting, when Graham was 12 days old.....can someone please stop time?
